We had a great trip, our twin boys (age nine) loved the experience, even though we did not catch many fish, just getting out at sea and trying our luck was cool

We really enjoyed our experience fishing in Stavanger. The weather was cold and windy but Captain Ulf made the trip fantastic. The fish weren't really biting but we did manage to catch 2 cod. Our group of two adults and three teens had a great time. Tusen takk!

Many thanks to Captain Ulf and crew for hosting us for a wonderful morning at sea! The boat is lovely, the crew attentive, and the seas calm. The best part was that Hubby snagged the Catch-of-the-Day: a nice-sized Ling Cod! Bonus was the Lille, the adorable and friendly dachsund, who lifted our spirits when the fish weren't biting. Definitely an experience to be fondly remembered. Well worth the investment.

What a fabulous afternoon out! Ulf and his crewman (sorry I cannot recall his name) were so welcoming, telling us about this beautiful boat and what the afternoon would hold. It was pouring with rain the whole time we were out but that didn't dampen anyone's spirits. There were 8 of us on the boat and we all chatted and fished for the 3 hours we were out. We caught dinner which was delicious! Thank you so much for a wonderful day out Ulf!

Despite the rain, our spirits weren't dampened. Greeted by the skipper and his first mate, we were soon out to sea to fish for our supper. One of our party caught a shark which, as it looked very untasty, we threw back to live another day. One whiting and two pollock later, dinner was caught and we returned to port very happy. Thanks to Ulf who has the best sparkly eyes in Stavanger ;-) Thoroughly recommended.

I visited Stavanger for my first time to see family who had recently moved here. With so much to do around the general area, it was difficult to choose what to do in the 7 days that I was here. After doing all the big touristy things, we finished the holiday by booking this experience with Ulf. We tried to book it for Friday, though Ulf said that the weather wasn't good enough to go out on and instead took us out on Saturday - when he generally doesn't run his boat. We turned up and Ulf took us onto his boat (earlier than the agreed time) and told us about the history of his boat as well as giving us a quick safety brief. We'd set off less than 10 minutes afterwards. We tried out multiple spots and caught 7 fish between 4 of us - including Ulf - with 5 different species of fish (two of which we've already had for dinner!). Despite the rain, we had an extremely memorable day - Ulf was incredibly welcoming and friendly and even offered us a complimentary crab that he'd caught earlier in the day! Being able to catch your own food is also extremely gratifying. Will definitely do this again when I return to Norway. Would recommend for all types of customers: families, couples, or a group of mates.

My son Alex was visitings us in Stavanger and we thought this would be great fun for all of us. We were right! First impressions count. Ulf, the skipper impressed us before we even set foot on the boat. I booked for Friday, but high winds were forecast. So Ulf called me up to offer alternatives rather than just blow us out (bad joke there). So Saturday afternoon off we went. The boat is a marvel. Built in 1913 it’s like a piece of history, and beautiful. Such a privilege to go out on it. Ulf took care of our safety and comfort, gave us very easy to follow advice and was easy and lovely company. The area we sailed was of course lovely - this is Norway after all. We’ve done fjord cruises but there was something about this trip that made it more special. More cosy and intimate. We had the boat to ourselves but it’s big and can accommodate 12 and it would still feel like a personalized tour. My husband John caught all the fish (and Ulf of course). That just means that we will have to do it again so that Alex and I can catch up. Back home in the evening we cooked up a gorgeous supper of pan fried fresh cod and accompanied it with a glass of dry white. And a toast to our fabulous skipper Ulf! Highly recommend this is a Norway experience that’s just a bit different whilst still being affordable.
